About the role

Oban Academy is a middle-office outsourcing partner delivering Fund Administration, Corporate Treasury, FP&A and Digital Solutions from Mauritius, Madagascar and India. As a Fund Administration Analyst you provide the first line of review over the daily deliverables for your assigned clients — checking accuracy, maintaining controls, and building the evidence trail that underpins client assurance.

Key responsibilities

Fund accounting & quality control

  • Produce fund accounting outputs — NAV, reconciliations, capital activity and payment instructions — to defined standards.
  • Check the completeness and accuracy of inputs (bank statements, broker/custodian files, trade data); log discrepancies and escalate items outside tolerance.
  • Maintain the quality-control checklist and the audit evidence trail behind client assurance.

Reconciliation & deliverables support

  • Support NAV, capital calls, distributions and redemptions by verifying calculations.
  • Assist with three-way cash and position reconciliations, and prepare draft payment instructions and investor statements for review.

Records, data & client knowledge

  • Keep client, transaction and statutory records accurate, filed and version-controlled.
  • Build working knowledge of your client entities, fund structures and regulatory deadlines, and suggest process improvements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline — final-year students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • 0–2 years in fund administration, accounting or financial services (internships count).
  • Part-progress towards ACCA, ACA or CFA is an advantage, but not required at this level.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook, and comfortable adopting new digital and AI-enabled tools.

What we’re looking for

  • Attention to detail — methodical and precise, with a zero-tolerance approach to data errors.
  • Analytical ability — able to interpret financial data and spot discrepancies against expectations.
  • Adaptability — comfortable working alongside AI-driven processes and evolving workflows.
  • Ownership — reliable and organised, managing your own workload against daily deadlines.

Why join Oban Academy

  • Real client work from day one, on institutional-grade mandates.
  • A clear progression path, with structured development and mentoring.
  • Exposure to the AI-enabled ways of working reshaping middle-office finance.
  • A collaborative, high-standards team where your work is visible.
  • Part of the NiS Africa group, delivering from Mauritius, Madagascar and India.
