About the role

At Oban Academy we build technology that empowers people and transforms organisations. We’re looking for a forward-thinking Senior .NET Developer with a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence to join our growing technology team and deliver impactful, AI-enabled solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Build scalable APIs and backend services.
  • Integrate AI and Generative-AI capabilities into business applications.
  • Collaborate with consultants and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Contribute to solution architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews and best practices.
  • Drive innovation and proof-of-concept projects involving AI technologies.
  • Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional .NET development.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework and SQL Server.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and cloud-based solutions.
  • Solid grasp of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with Git and Agile development.

Preferred skills

  • Azure AI Services, OpenAI APIs or Generative-AI solutions.
  • Microsoft Azure.
  • AI agents, intelligent automation and chatbot development.
  • Containerisation (Docker) and DevOps / CI-CD pipelines.
