About the role
Oban Academy is building a future-focused technology practice that uses Artificial Intelligence, data analytics and automation to solve real-world challenges. We’re looking for a talented Python Developer with a passion for AI, machine learning and intelligent automation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based applications and services.
- Build AI-powered solutions, intelligent assistants and automation tools.
- Design and implement data processing and analytics pipelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions.
- Support AI research, experimentation and prototype development.
- Integrate machine learning and Generative-AI capabilities into digital products.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Support client-facing projects and solution demonstrations when required.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of Python development.
- Strong understanding of Python programming principles.
- Experience with APIs, data processing and backend development.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies.
Preferred skills
- AI / ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn or LangChain.
- Generative-AI technologies and Large Language Models.
- Data visualisation and analytics tools.
- Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Automation, scripting and workflow orchestration.
